I've only played FM3 to completion despite the setting, the plot development and a lot of the actual characters come off like cartoonish JRPG stock material, which is pretty jarring when taken all together.Īnonymous Wed Sep 9 18:02:13 2015 No.2672256Īlright thanks. It's interesting ground for a console SRPG but it's not anything wildly creative or insightful.
The universe the series takes place in is near future speculative fiction about global superstates and the surrounding politiccs. So fan translation front mission snes is better then the ds one that was localized?Īlso is the story as good as other SRPG's? such as tactic ogres or FFT?Īnonymous Wed Sep 9 17:59:08 2015 No.2672253 Its been awhile so I don't remember the details.įront Mission 4 is kinda campy from what I recall.įront Mission: Evolved is just a bad game.Īnonymous Wed Sep 9 17:56:51 2015 No.2672251
I actually played Front Mission in Japanese so I didn't really know wtf was going on but I had fun with it.įront Mission 3 is nice. I mean its pretty typical Squaresoft, I can take it or leave it. I didn't like Front Mission 3 for psx, but a lot of people love it, so you should try it too.Īnonymous Wed Sep 9 17:56:51 2015 No.2672250 The first Front Mission is nice (for snes and a fan translation). Gun Hazard is a Cybernator clone, but I feel like its a much better game then Cybernator.Īnonymous Wed Sep 9 17:41:42 2015 No.2672229 Some weapons become overpowered and you'll probably resort to using them. Its kind of like, Armored Core meets Final Fantasy Tactics. Pretty much how is the storyin the games, music, gameplay (I assume its just basic SRPG?)Īlso are the side games worth playing for the story? I assume they are all linked together. So I have never played the series and kind of intrigued by it.Īre the games worth jumping into? I saw that a lot of the entries have fan translations like 2 and 5 and I think a few others.
